Delhi Old Age Pension Scheme 2024
The Old Age Pension Scheme in Delhi is a government program designed to help senior citizens in need financially. Delhi Government has announced the Delhi Old Age Pension scheme on 24th November 2024. The government introduced an online portal for the scheme to make the application procedure easy. Through this portal, senior citizens can receive monthly pensions hassle-free. At present, 80,000 more people are eligible for pension. This increases the total number of beneficiaries to 5.3 lakh. People aged 60 to 69 will get a monthly pension of Rs 2,000, while those aged 70 and older will receive Rs 2,500 each month.
Additionally, individuals from scheduled castes, scheduled tribes, and minority communities will get an extra Rs 500 added to their pension. Those who are eligible for this scheme can apply by accessing the official website portal shared in the below table.

- People aged 60 to 69 in Delhi now receive a pension of Rs 2,000 which was earlier Rs 1,000 before the AAP government increased it.
- Similarly, senior citizens aged 70 and above get Rs 2,500, up from the earlier amount of Rs 1,500.
Eligibility Criteria
Every candidate who is applying for the Delhi Old Age Pension Scheme must check the below-mentioned eligibility criteria for the scheme.
- The applying candidate must be a senior citizen aged over 60 years.
- He/She should lived in Delhi for at least 5 years.
- They should have an Adhaar Card.
- The applying candidate not be receiving financial assistance or pensions from other government schemes.
- Candidate should have a bank account in Delhi that is Aadhaar-linked and operated by you alone.
- Your total family income from all sources (like rent, farming, savings, investments, property sales, etc.) should be less than Rs. 1,00,000 per year.

Pension Amount
- People aged between 60-69 years (except those from SC/ST category) will receive Rs 2,000.

How to Check Delhi Old Age Pension Online Apply Last Date
Step 1: First of all, reach out to the e-District Delhi portal.
Step 2: Click on ‘Login/Register’.
Step 3: If you’re a new user, click ‘Register’.
Step 4: Choose ‘Aadhaar card’ as the document type, enter your Aadhaar number, agree to the declaration, and click ‘Continue’.
Step 5: Fill in the required details and click ‘Submit’.
Step 6: You’ll receive an access code and password on your mobile number.
